Professor Kwabena Oppong-Boachie (Founder and Managing Director)

He is a Professor of organic chemistry with years of experience in natural product chemistry, particularly in herbal medicine research. He has lectured at Bayero University, Kano in Nigeria and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. He was the second substantive Director of Ghana’s Center for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine from 1997 to 2003. He has served as a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) African Regional Expert Committee on Traditional Medicine (2000 – 2004) and has performed consultancy duties on behalf of the WHO and the African Union (AU) on African Traditional Medicine. He has traveled widely to various parts of the globe to give lectures and attend conferences on policy, research and development (R & D) of Traditional Medicine. He has won several awards in recognition of efforts towards the scientific development and application of herbal medicines for good health.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Mante-Bonsra (Deputy Managing Director)

He is a holder of an Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration (EMBA) and has over 20 years post qualification (BSc. Admin) experience in Accounting, Audit and Management. He has attended several training seminars on Taxation, Strategic Management and Fraud Prevention. Institutions he has worked with include the Ghana Education Service, Controller and Accountant General, Internal Revenue Service and Kasapreko Company Limited.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Yaw Agyei-Henaku (General Manager)

He is a Pharmacist trained at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana and has long working experience with the Ghana Standards Board in the areas of drug quality control, laboratory analyses, monitoring of quality assurance and Good Manufacturing Practice (for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry). He also has experience with a pharmaceutical industry as a Regulatory Affairs Manager. He is trained in ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standards as well as ISO 17025 Quality Management Standard of Competence for Testing Laboratories

 

 

 

Ray Bright Voegborlo (Analytical Chemist/Head of Analytical Instrumentation Department)

He has a lot of experience in the procurement of laboratory equipment and chemicals. He possesses an M.Phil. in analytical chemistry and has taught analytical chemistry and environmental analyses at the university level for several years.  He has experience in a wide range of areas concerning analytical instrumentation in environmental and food laboratories especially in pesticide research, heavy metal residue toxicology, soil and water analysis. He is responsible for our instrumental chemical analysis and the development and implementation of our quality maintenance of our many laboratory instruments including gas chromatographs, high performance liquid chromatographs, elemental atomic absorption and UV/VIS spectrophotometers.

 

Mr. William Akonu-Atta (Head of Phytochemistry Department)

He holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has working experience in areas of quality control in the Specialty Fat Industry, effluent and boiler water quality analysis. He also has working experience with the pharmaceutical industry in quality control. He is trained in ISO 17025 Laboratory Management Systems and is an IRCA trained Quality Management System Auditor. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Pure Applied Chemistry (GIPAC), and also trained in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.

 

 

 

Mr. Daniel Kwesi Abbiw (Taxonomist / Ethnobotanist/Head of Herbarium)

He is plant taxonomist and ethnobotanist with years of working experience with the Botany department of the University of Ghana, Legon in Accra. He has served as Curator of the Ghana Herbarium, Research Associate and Technical Advisor on plant taxonomy and ethnobotany with the University of Ghana. He has several publications and books on African medicinal plants and is a consultant to Ghana’s Ministries of Health, Trade and Industry and Lands & Forestry in ethnobotany, plant taxonomy and forestry.

He also does consultancy in Vegetation surveys & Environmental Impact Assessment of degraded forest areas. He has oversight responsibilities of the Company’s plant search, storage, packaging and herbarium activities.

 

Mr. Albert Yaw Dankwa (Accounts Manager)

He is a qualified Accountant with long years of working experience with Ghana’s Internal Revenue Service, Ghana Audit Service and several other private business organizations. He is in charge of the Company’s Accounts Department.
